An effective recipe for skin, hair and nails.

With cold weather frequently comes dry joints and skin. What’s the solution? Well, typically we’re prompted to slather gels and lotions on our hands, feet, legs, and all over our bodies.

Guess what. The right nutrients can also help combat the effects of this time of year.

In particular, Omega 3 fatty acids, found in foods like walnuts, flax, and cold-water fish (i.e. salmon, herring, sardines) can be very helpful. Consistent intake of Omega 3s help to provide lubrication to the whole body, thus helping to prevent, or lessen, the drying effects of this cold season.

Coupling a consistent water intake with plenty of omega 3 plentiful foods (both plant-based and animal-based) provides a strong recipe for healthier skin, hair, and nails. Oh yeah, and another bonus regarding these special little fatty acids…they help reduce inflammation throughout our systems as well.
